With the development application now approved, our scope includes:

Officeworks, Offices and Townhouses
Bundoora
The civil engineering design for the mixed-use development at Bundoora, successfully integrates a combination of commercial and residential uses within a constrained urban site. The project included the delivery of an Officeworks retail store, commercial office spaces, and adjoining townhouse residences, requiring careful coordination of access, drainage, and services to support multiple building functions.
From a civil engineering perspective, the design balanced high-volume traffic demands from the commercial components with the residential needs of townhouse residents. This was achieved through clearly defined access points, internal circulation, and parking layouts that meet council and Austroads standards.

Carrington Park Squash Courts & Sports Precinct – Knox
Retractive was engaged to provide civil engineering services for the enhancement of the Carrington Park precinct in Knox, supporting a broader community recreation vision that includes the adjacent Leisure Centre and Multipurpose Facility.
The project scope involved enabling works and civil design for:

Construction of 2 new squash courts within a newly built indoor facility

Conversion of an existing tennis court to a dedicated Pickleball court

Relocation and coordination of underground services to accommodate new court structures and drainage requirements
Working within an active recreational site featuring walking parks, a seniors’ exercise zone, 6 tennis courts, 6 squash/racquetball courts, a new playground, and an oval, the civil works were carefully staged to minimise disruption while ensuring safe public access and future serviceability.
