Fanaway reimagined ceiling fans for modern spaces with retractable blades that disappear when the fan is off. The product gained national recognition on ABC’s New Inventors and achieved global rollout through a partnership with Beacon Lighting.
Hydro Spheres is the current development focus: a smarter, faster and more sustainable underground stormwater storage approach intended to transform how runoff is managed in urban design.
Fanaway
A globally successful retractable ceiling fan invention created by Joe Villella in 2005. Fanaway demonstrates Retractive’s ability to convert original engineering thinking into commercially viable product outcomes.
